Circa 1830, Crystal Cut Rummer

Circa 1830, Crystal Cut Rummer

A large, late Georgian, hand-blown, cut glass rummer dating from the 1830S. The glass is in excellent condition for its age and considering almost 200 years of potential use, very little evidence on the underside of the foot of overzealous use, nice and clean.

With a height of 16 cm (6.25 inches), the bowl measures 9 cm (3.5 inches) in diameter. The glass has an interesting shape with a decagon cut stem and extending to faceted cutting to the bowl, a plain, conical foot with concave polished pontil mark on the underside. A stepped end to the stem and a rounded foot.

There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious signs of restoration
