18th Century English Silver Sauce Ladle

A first class example of late 18th century silver by makers George Smith 111 and William Fearn. The hallmark is for London assay and dated 1788. This is a plain and classic sauce ladle, like so much of Georgian design, well balanced and designed to perform its function perfectly.
Length 18 cms. the bowl is 52 mm diameter and it weighs 43 gms,
Excellent condition, no restoration nor repair, no thinning of silver, clear silver marks, the makers mark is slightly rubbed but can be identified as the makers George Smith 111 and William Fearn, any wear is age related in the form of surface scratches,(easily remedied). A fine classic example of Georgian silver.
